To the Moms of Littles, the Moms of Teens, the Moms of In between

the Moms navigating potty training and middle school

To the women who have never given birth, but do the work of Mothering

How brave you are to show up

To the stepmoms and In- laws , who welcome children that are “not yours” in with open arms ,

who make them feel right at home

to the expectant moms and the newborn moms,

who can’t wait for your journey to Begin

To the Joyful , Thriving , living -your -best life mom ,

I salute you

To the grieving Mom, the navigating a difficult season Mom,

The single moms and widowed moms, doing the work of two parents

I salute you

the unseen and uncelebrated

I salute you

To the Moms who are doing their best, leaving it all on the field, giving all of you everyday

the Moms teaching, coaching, leading

I salute you

The moms teaching manners and the golden rule and virtues,

the mom that models this with a smile and grace

and shows by her example how to be a genuinely kind human

This is the Best Work

the beautiful, difficult work

The Deep down work

the work that the world ignores for 364 days a year

I see you young moms

tired arms, aching back, sore breasts

and I remember that the world needs your

Enthusiasm

I see you seasoned moms

in your laugh lines and crows feet perfection

and I am reminded that the world needs your hard won
